It is my pleasure to invite you to be a part of the AMEC Convention 2010.  The Convention is organised by the Association of Mining and Exploration (AMEC), the peak industry body for mineral exploration and mining companies in Australia.  

 

The AMEC Convention began in 2005 to bring together the leading figures of the Australian mining and exploration industry with government and other major industry stakeholders.  Since inception the AMEC Convention has grown every year and the 2010 Convention will be our biggest event yet.  

 

AMEC Convention 2010 will again showcase our industry and examine the issues that are critical to promoting and developing mineral exploration and mining in Australia.  The program will tackle the pressing government issues facing the resources industry, feature talks on the most significant mineral discoveries made in recent years and feature presentations from Australia’s leading mining and exploration professionals.  

 

Along with the Convention, the AMEC National Gala Awards Dinner will be held on 2nd June 2010 which will see the presentation of the prestigious AMEC Prospector Award and Media Awards. 

 

The ongoing success of the Convention could not be achieved without the support of the AMEC members.  I thank them for their continued support.  I would also like to thank our sponsors and exhibitors who make a significant contribution to the Convention.
